I'm decidedly not talking about the bad news in my weight loss journey. If I ignore it, it will go away. If I talk about it and dwell on it, it will stay. So, forget about that.

I have good news in my fitness journey! I can run for longer periods of time and rest for shorter periods of time! And, the coolest thing, in the past month I managed to shave SIX MINUTES off my mile, and that's mostly power walking. I've decided I don't like running on the treadmill anymore. Since it's gotten VERY nice out, I'll just do it outside. It's going to take some doing to get back in the outdoor running groove, but it will be worth it.

So yesterday was an awesome day! I'm back down to 210. I had gained a ton of weight over the span of two weeks. I had gotten back up to 217, so I'm glad to be back down. I'm pretty sure I can manage to get into the mid-200s by next week's weigh in. :)

Even though my weight went up and down for a little over a month, I've toned up a lot. I even got complimented on it when I was at Trish's party! One of the cruise people said I have lost A LOT of weight. She only saw me three months ago, so that made me feel great!

Furthermore, I managed to stay pretty much on plan with my 35 weeklies and still enjoy myself. I even had a glass of wine. Only one, though, since I've been having some slight issues with vertigo. Nothing to worry about. It's just withdrawal from one of the medicines I've been taking for almost ten years...

My starting bra size was 42DD. My current bra size is 38D. This may or may not sound like a lot, so I took some pics of an old convertible bra that I've since lost the straps for and a current bra. Excuse the hot pinkness.

I just put in my food on the WW site for the past week. Apparently I'm bad at judging. And looking at it, Wednesday and Thursday are my high point days, hence why I'm heavier on Friday and Saturday. Since my week's not going to change any time soon, I'll just deal with it by switching WI and meeting days, as I said.

Lo siento to those of you who see this part twice.

WI Woes
Well, I've figured something out about my body. I just plain weigh more on Friday and Saturday. It doesn't matter what I eat during the week. It doesn't matter if I'm not dehydrated OR holding water. I just weigh more on Friday and Saturday. Hence, from last week, I had a 4.2 lb gain. I know this -- and more! -- will come right off by Monday. Most of it will be off tomorrow! So, as such, I'm going to start going to switch to a Monday meeting and WI. This is definitely going to be better for my peace of mind. I'm going to scratch this WI today and start fresh on Monday.

Cardio Fun
I recently joined the rec center again. Even though I was totally cool with wearing a bathing suit on the cruise, I'm kinda wary of doing it now. I have no idea why. Beyond that, I never really felt like I did much in swimming. Swimming, for me, is really easy. I'm like a fish. Seriously. On the cruise, I was swimming laps in the Solarium when we were out to sea and pitching wildly. I didn't even start breathing hard. It was really, really fun, though! I'm just a strong swimmer. Anyway, I decided to do some cardio in the gym today. I did 30 minutes on a stationary bike. FUN TIMES! I calculated it on the WW eTools, and I earned FOUR! Activity Points. I biked for 4.75 miles, too!

Needless to say, I'm pretty stoked.

C25K Back On Track
As I was poking around the Activity Tracker looking at various workouts, I noticed that one is "5K for Beginners." I Googled it. It's a training program on the Cool Runnings site -- the site that hosts the C25K program! Now, I would SWEAR I read the instructions on the Cool Runnings site, but this talked about doing the training on a treadmill. Well, there are treadmills in the gym at the rec center! That means, of course, that I can go back to doing the C25K training! If I biked for 4.75 miles today, getting up to the 5K mark will be a breeze!

That's really all for now. I'll post WI results on Monday. I won't be weighing at a meeting. I'll just be weighing on my own.

ETA
I found a really cool free website! FitDay.com lets you track your weight, calorie intake, exercise and so much more! The only thing that they make public is your calorie and food intake. I thought it would be cool to show graphs as to how much exercise you've done. I'm still looking for a website that does that.

I've lost 25.4 pounds! :D I got the 25 loss washer today, another 5 lb star, and a cool star magnet! :D I can't wait to see what I get for 50 pounds!

This is the ticker I have on my profile here. I figured I'd post it so everyone can see the graphical progress of how far I've come. :)

I reached my 10% today! I'm officially down 23.4 pounds! :D

And this is a little tidbit from the WW website:

I've lost almost three gallons of milk. I've lost the equivalent of the very large turkey we had for Thanksgiving. That's a lot of excess weight! It's pretty gross, but it's GREAT that it's gone!

And by the time I'm down to my goal weight, I'll have lost 12 gallons of milk and two melons. That just cracks me up!

I'm doing the Core plan (because I refuse to use the new name since it's stupid). I made a TOTALLY Core Christmas dinner. Then I indulged in half Beck's Light (.5 points) and half a serving of wine (1.5 points). I also had some actual bacon this morning (3 points). The rest was Core. I weighed myself this morning to see how much the pizza Tuesday and Chinese food yesterday cost me. I was only up a pound, most of it undoubtedly from holding water. I weighed myself tonight because I knew it would make me smile. I have seriously eaten ALL day to make sure all my food tasted great. I'm up a pound. I can gain three in one day that's NOT a holiday! Today was AWESOME!

So.

I had a good WI yesterday -- still one pound to go before my 10%!

I had a very large poo and a lot of peeing yesterday. As a lot of people do, I weighed myself out of curiosity.

I was 111. That's my 10%.

I plan on having a good week this week, then getting either 111 or less next week. Yes, even though it's right after Christmas. I'm making Core lasagne. :)

I'M ONLY ONE POUND AWAY FROM MY 10%!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M STOKED!!!!!!!!!!!

And I can curl up in my desk chair without straining. And my ankle bracelet falls down about two inches. AWESOME IF YOU ASK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Update on Inches!

I wish I had posted my starting measurements. I know my hips were ~53-59. My bust was ~53-56, too. No idea what my waist, thighs, shoulders, and arms were. Anyway, these are my current measurements:

Shoulder: 47.75"
Arm: 14"
Bust: 45" (38D bra size, down from 42DD)
Waist: 40.5"
Hips: 49"
Thigh: 28.5"

When I came back from the cruise this summer (Aug. 07, 2008), my ankle bracelet was pretty tight. I didn't feel like getting out of bed this morning, so I idly and absentmindedly spun my ankle bracelet around my ankle for about ten minutes before realizing what I was doing. Since my blood pressure plummeted into the normal range, my ankles are pretty small (for me). I'd LIKE to lose in my fingers and hands. And shoulders.

Also, I've started a workout regimen. MWF I do C25K training. The remaining days I do a leisurely walk with my mom. When I get my check from school, I'm going to get a membership to the rec center so I can put swimming back into my schedule.

On a totally different note, I understand the new "Simply Filling" plan. Apparently they changed it because some people abused Core. I don't know how since I personally didn't abuse it. I'm basically back on Core, though, so I'm happy about that. I only lost .6 this week using the regular Momentum system.

I'm honestly not expecting a big loss next week since I'm working out more and probably building more muscle than losing fat. Who knows? One thing I've come to accept is that you can't expect anything when you step on the scale. It sucks, but it's true.

OK, I honestly attempted to follow the "Simply Filling Plan" without any guidance whatsoever. This is proving to be difficult since a lot of things that were Core are not on the SFP, such as healthy oils. Healthy oils are a good health guideline. You're supposed to get in your GHGs every day, and according to them, you're supposed to have 2 tsp of a healthy oil. Now, my oil of choice is Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Know what? That costs 2.5 points out of my weekly 35. In other words, HALF of my weekly 35 points are spent on my necessary oil. That, to me, is utter bullshit.

That said, I went to a party today, enjoyed myself, had a few glasses of wine over the course of the day, and had a filling dinner. I STILL DIDN'T USE ALL OF MY DAILY POINTS.

I think Mom kind of likes the new plan, but I really don't. I think it was very presumptuous of Weight Watchers to almost totally do away with the Core plan when, honestly, there was nothing wrong with it.

So, um, I never view my journal. Ever. I had no clue that my style was effed up till tonight when I tried to view it from my personal journal's friends page. Some part of the style was missing or something. (I didn't read the whole error message.) It's fixed now!

ETA: I just saw my jeans pic again. I had a little yay!!! inside. Then I rememberd a friend -- well "friend" -- saying something very unsupportive. I sent him the pic and said, "See? I am in the jeans again!" He said, "I didn't think you'd do it lol!" Yeah, needless to say I'm dropping him like a hot potato. Which, I assure you, I do pretty quickly and definitely.

On the Points System, I am supposed to eat 28 Points. This is ~2000-2500 calories. I converted my Core foods to Points foods and came up with ~23 Points. I've lost 15 pounds on Core. I lost 7 pounds on Points. Given that, I should...

UGH! I finally find soemthing that works for me -- the Weight Watchers Core Plan -- and they're basically doing away with it. The list of foods that are on the new "Core" is way shorter than the Core list. Way, way shorter. Even though my list of foods I can eat without counting points is shorter, I still only get 35 points for the week. This is more like A DIET than a way of life, which is what the old plans were. UGH!

So. I've been getting rid of a lot of bloating over the weekend. I decided to try on some pants I ordered from Victoria's Secret a couple months ago. I'm ALMOST into the black work pants. They have no kind of give in them, though, so I decided to try on the jeans. They've got a little Lycra or Spandex in them. And...THEY FIT!!!

I'm down 20.2 pounds total. This is AWESOME. And I owe it all to the Core plan!
